Flying

During the fall and spring, while it’s still warm enough to hold a transmitter, we fly remote control airplanes. Last year, the club constructed flying wings called Zagis from scratch. There is no propulsion system on the Zagis, which makes them cheaper and more robust. Thus, they rely on wind and updrafts to keep them soaring in the air- which adds to the fun and complexity of flying! We have a buddy box system which enables us to take beginner pilots and train them on flying RC aircraft. From there, you’ll be able to graduate to flying on your own!
