Spaceport America Cup

Overview

Palouse Aerospace is competing at Spaceport America Cup this summer! It is the largest intercollegiate rocket competition. We are competing in the 10,000+ foot category. For the last 10 months rocket team has been designing and building a new rocket called Crimson Arrow to compete with this summer. This rocket will be carrying a CubeSat designed by our fellow WSU club, Cougs in Space. Several sections of the body tubes have been manufactured in-house along with the fins. A key feature of Crimson Arrow is a computer-controlled airbrake system. To develop this system the team has built a smaller rocket called Wingstop.
