DUFF, DVM, Lt&nbsp;Colonel USAF retired<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kind &#8211; Adventurous &#8211; Integrity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born at Seattle General Hospital to&nbsp;John Duff and Edna Miller Duff.&nbsp;Attended Hawthorne Elementary&nbsp;and Ballard High School. Joined&nbsp;the Navy at the onset of WWII becoming&nbsp;a radioman and aerial gunner.&nbsp;Joined the US Air Force retiring as a Lt Colonel Res. VC. A&nbsp;graduate of the Army Command&nbsp;and General Staff College.&nbsp;Recipient of a Commendation Medal&nbsp;for his design of a field hospital and&nbsp;the Meritorious Service Medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attended University of Washington&nbsp;(graduated 1950) and Washington&nbsp;State University College of&nbsp;Veterinary Medicine (graduated&nbsp;1958). Opened (1962) a small and&nbsp;large animal practice in Des&nbsp;Moines, WA. Retired in 2003. For&nbsp;eleven years, he served as the Chief&nbsp;Toxicologist for the Seattle\/King&nbsp;County Medical Examiners Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traveled to Europe, Africa, Asia,&nbsp;South America and throughout&nbsp;North America. Enjoyed hiking, cycling,&nbsp;motor boating, river rafting,&nbsp;skydiving at 80 and reached the top&nbsp;of Mt Kilimanjaro.
