October 25, 1918 – June 9, 2005<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arthur John Boero, 86, passed away at his home Thursday. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was born in San Francisco and was a resident of Manteca since 1941. He attended Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine; graduated 1940.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He went into veterinary practice in Manteca with Dr. A.J. Whitaker, joined in by Dr. K.E. Erwin to form The Manteca Veterinary Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He had been practicing large veterinary services from his home for the past 12 years. He was a practicing veterinarian in the area for 64 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and American Bovine Practitioners Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was issued a Certificate of Appreciation for his participation in evacuating stranded dairy cows in the floods of 1997, by then Governor Pete Wilson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding and roping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was a member of The Sonoma County Trail Blazers for many years, also a member of the Manteca Horseman’s Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is survived by his wife Jane Boero; daughter Kathleen Boero; sons Michael Boero, James Boero, Perry Boero; stepson Ronald E. Harrison; grandchildren Woody Boero, Raeanne Boero and Francis Boero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The family wishes to thank Karl Wolf, M.D. for his compassion and medical assistance during Art’s illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No public services or visitation. A gathering of friends and family is pending. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remembrances may be made to Prostate Cancer Research, American Heart Association, Pets and Pals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
