JESSE FRANKLIN BONE Age 89, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2006. Jesse was born June 15, 1916, in Tacoma. He graduated from Tacoma&#8217;s Stadium High School in 1933. He was the son of Eva K. Seabury Wildt and Homer T. Bone, former 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge and former U.S. Senator from Washington State, (1932-1944). Following graduation from Washington State College (University) in 1937, Jesse served in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. He retired from the U.S. Army Veterinary Corp. in 1976. After the war, Jesse returned to Washington State College and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and married his wife, Felizitaz (Faye) in 1950. They moved to Corvallis, Oregon where he was Professor of Comparative Anatomy at Oregon State University until his retirement in 1978. Jesse was a prolific author of science fiction books and short stories. He also authored a textbook on Animal Anatomy and Physiology which was used widely in universities throughout the United States and internationally. After raising four children, Jesse and Faye retired and moved to Sierra Vista where they enjoyed gardening, golf, and traveling extensively throughout the country and abroad. Jesse is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Faye Bone; sons: Dr. Michael Bone (Pamela) of Sacramento, California and Dr. David Bone (Dr. Lourdes) of Sierra Vista, Arizona; daughter Brigitta Fernandez of Corvallis, Oregon; brothers: Dr. Charles and Dr. Roy Wright both of Tacoma; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Jesse was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Howard Wright, and daughter, Janice Bone. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 27, 2006, at 12:00 P.M. at Kino Chapel, Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. Interment will follow at the Post Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are with Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 S.
