Jenney, DVM, 89, 635 Oakhill Ave. died in Miller\u2019s Merry Manor, Plymouth, of natural causes at 1:20 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwin was born in Indianapolis on August 11, 1919. He was the son of Frank O. and Gladys Fay Thornburgh Jenney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He graduated from high school in California and graduated veterinarian school at Washington State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On August 24, 1944, in Rosalia, WA Edwin and Elmerine Widman were married. Elmerine later died from Multiple Sclerosis on March 30, 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 25, 1960, in Washington, D.C. Edwin and Iris Gerlea Dudley were married.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Jenney worked from 1943 to 1984 \u2014 41 years\u2013 for the United States Department of Agriculture. He retired as a veterinarian medical officer in 1984.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An avid reader, he loved to garden and enjoyed hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was a member of the Campus Baptist Church, Ames, Iowa and belonged to the Mayflower Society and the Gideon\u2019s International Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwin is survived by his wife, Iris, Plymouth and by two sons, Edwin W. Jenney, Jr., Coldwater, MI., and James Allen (Cindy) Jenney, Argos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eight grandchildren also survive. They are: Joshua Jenney, Caleb Jenney, Kyle Jenney, of Coldwater, MI. Alishia Foster of Beckley, WV, and Amber Jenney, Chance Jenney, Dalton Jenney and Blaine Jenney of Argos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A great-grandson, Alek Foster of Beckley, WV, survives as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Elmerine Jenney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends are invited to share memories and celebrate the life of Edwin Jenney on Saturday, June 20, 2009, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funeral services for Edwin will follow visitation at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev.
