She was 59 years old and died of ovarian cancer. She was born on February 28, 1952 in San Francisco, CA, the daughter of Edward Joseph Skinner and Catherine Eleanor Smith. Carol lived a short time in Milbrae, CA, but spent most of her growing up in Palos Verdes, CA. She attended St. John Fisher Catholic School and Rolling Hills High School where she graduated in 1970.<br><br>Carol married Tom Downey in 1984. She graduated from Washington State University in 1988 with a bachelor\u2019s degree in biochemistry and a doctorate of veterinary medicine. She moved with her family to Omak in 1991. Carol has been a veterinarian in Omak since 1991, and in 2009 she bought and began operating The Animal Hospital of Omak. Carol loved animals.
