On Saturday, November 27, Jim died peacefully at home at age 89. Jim was born in Forgan, Oklahoma to Oscar Belmont Lebo and Maude (Brown) Lebo. The family moved from Oklahoma to Bremerton in 1941. Jim attended local schools, served in the U.S. Army in South Korea, then attended Olympic College in Bremerton. He continued his education at Washington State University, graduating from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 1961. After graduation, Jim worked in Pennsylvania until 1964 when he moved to Sunnyvale, CA area. He practiced Veterinarian medicine there until his retirement in 1990. Jim had varied interests and abilities. Prior to his retirement, he was very active in Rotary, assisted in the Boy Scout program and coached baseball. He loved to travel and cruise, sports including baseball and football, was a champion golfer and gardener. He spent the last 20 winters golfing in Arizona. Jim is survived by his wife, Phyllis, sons Jim and Monte of Chandler, AZ, and grandson, Josh, of Morgan Hills, CA. Additional survivors are Phyllis’ children, Steve (Catherine), Sandra (Jose), Sally (Sean), and six step grandchildren. Jim was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. In honor of Jim, a gathering of family and friends will be held in the near future.
