Broomfield, CO —Dr. Emory H. Bull, 83, a Billings MT native, born April 1, 1930 to Emory and Sylvia Bull, passed away 1/4/2014.
He was educated through his junior year in high school in Billings, finishing his senior year in Bozeman. Emory entered the newly formed USAF in November 1948 and was honorably discharged in 1954. Emory married Jean Conley of Harlowton in October 1952. He attended MSU Bozeman and graduated with a degree in chemistry in 1957.
Emory attended Washington State University from 1957 to 1961, graduating with a degree in Veterinary medicine. He started Chinook Veterinary clinic, Chinook Montana in March of 1962, practicing large and small animal medicine until 1968. Emory attended Colorado State University, earning an advanced degree in Radiation Biology in 1970. He worked for Ralston Purina Corp and Syntex Corp until 1977 when he purchased Adams Valley Veterinary Clinic in Thornton CO, which he ran until 1988.
He finished his veterinary career as a civilian employee of the US Army in Augsburg, Germany and as a radiation specialist in the decommissioning of Rocky Flats Weapons Plant-Golden, Colorado.
Emory was also an accomplished musician and played drums with many dance bands throughout the years.
He is survived by his wife Jean of 61 years; son Bruce (Tammy) Bull; daughter Lynn (Randy) O’Brien; son Jim Bull; grand-daughters, Sylvia Bull and Victoria Bull; sister Joy Hamlett; and nephew Bradley Hamlett,
