Gregg H. Wilson, ’50 DVM

July 31, 1924 – May 30, 2011

Dr. Gregg H. Wilson, 86 years old, was born in Kansas City, MO, moving with his parents to the Seattle, WA area while very young. During World War II, he was drafted and served as a medic under Gen. Patton. In 1950, he graduated from Washington State College with his DVM degree and moved to sunny San Diego. In 1951, Dr. Wilson opened the Bay Park Pet Clinic, where he was beloved by many of his patients and clients alike. Gregg’s great sense of humor and ability to write poetry endeared him both to family and friends. He was a proud member of Rotary Club 33 of San Diego for over 40 years and was pleased to be called a “Tule Boy.” After retirement, he discovered the joy of travel, experiencing many adventures with his wife, Ellen, both domestic and international. Gregg is survived by his wife Ellen, daughters Heidi and Johanna, sons Chris and Tim and their spouses, children and grandchildren. No flowers, please. Donations may be made to San Diego Humane Society, 5500 Gaines Street, San Diego, CA 92110, telephone 1-619-243-3401. Memorial service will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery on June 15, 2011, at 2 p.m.
