One Health is “an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals, and ecosystems.” This holistic approach to medicine is essential for the health of all living beings and the survival of our planet. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, consider joining the One Health Club! Each lunch lecture covers a unique topic, introducing you to new, fascinating areas you may not have encountered before. Plus, dues are optional, so you can join for free! We also organize an annual One Health Trip to Spokane, where we collaborate with WSU’s nursing program.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n

For at least seven years, the Healthy People + Healthy Pets clinic in Spokane has offered free health care services to low-income people or people experiencing homelessness and their pets. WSU veterinary and nursing students work together in the clinic under the direction of faculty members to provide routine vaccinations, immunizations, health screenings, and simple treatments to people and pets, all at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n
