Pathway Programs

A traditional DVM applicant will complete both a bachelor’s degree and the DVM program- totaling at least eight years of higher education. WSU’s pre-admit programs allow highly competitive applicants to be offered conditional acceptance to the DVM program in the fall of their sophomore year. Conditionally accepted students receive mentoring as they continue to prepare to enter the DVM program after their third year of undergraduate studies, completing both their Bachelor’s degree and the DVM program in seven years.

The WSU pre-admit program offers a unique advantage by providing early exposure to the WSU community and consistent support throughout undergraduate studies. The program helped me achieve my goals faster and made the transition into veterinary school far less intimidating while providing financial benefits, easing the total cost of my education along the way.
