Students who attend the Pullman campus as non-residents in their first year may be eligible to establish Washington residency and qualify for in-state tuition starting in their second year. To convert residency status, students must meet all requirements set by the WSU residency office.

Students who attend the Bozeman campus for year 1 as nonresidents have the opportunity to establish Washington residency and pay in-state tuition for years 3 and 4 (after completing year 2 at the Pullman campus). To be eligible for residency conversion, students must complete the requirements outlined by the WSU residency office including living in Washington for one full year.
