Veterinary Business Management Association

Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) is a club for students who are interested in the business side of veterinary practices. If you are someone who is interested in owning a veterinary practice someday, then this club will give you the foundational skills you need to understand the ins and outs of business. If you earn enough BCP credits by attending lectures, then you have the opportunity to earn a business certificate.

DVM Student Lauren Cook

This club has taught me so much about the business side of veterinary medicine. In our curriculum we get to take a couple of financial classes, but they don’t compare to the knowledge you learn from this club. We get to cover so many unique topics such as how to brand yourself, how to create a successful Linked In account, how to read and produce business reports, and so much more. All the guest speakers are amazing and donate their time and knowledge to future veterinarians and are always willing to connect outside of the club. Additionally, this club is an excellent way to find out about internship/externship opportunities!
