Ambassador Spotlight: Bryer Jones

Are you considering WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine? Our student ambassadors are available to provide insight into our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program.
Bryer Jones chose WSU over other programs largely due to the invaluable insights he gained from current students and ambassadors during his application process.
“The feedback I received was one of the main reasons I chose WSU,” Bryer said. “I have seen firsthand how important the information an ambassador provides is and how influential it can be on one’s decision. I would love the opportunity to be a resource for future veterinary students.”
A first-year veterinary student, Bryer is bilingual in Spanish and English and could potentially help prospective students where language can be a barrier.
Bryer has an interest in agricultural animal medicine, production medicine, and rural medicine, but he said he appreciates WSU’s non-tracking curriculum, noting it will prepare him to care for any animal.
He said WSU’s community sets it apart from other programs. “Veterinary school is challenging and cannot be completed alone. The supportive environment here, from admissions to classmates, fosters a feeling of belonging. Everyone knows your name and is invested in your success,” he said.
With a commitment to fostering community and collaboration, Bryer is eager to support future students just as he was supported during his own journey.
