Wildlife Triage Team
Wildlife Triage Team is for anyone who is interested in wildlife medicine and wants to get some hands-on experience caring for the wildlife patients that come into the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. We are usually on-call during hours that aren’t staffed (nights and weekends) and respond to care for wildlife that might be brought in. You’ll learn how to assess patients, safely handle wildlife (like owls!), administer fluids and medications, and apply splints, all under the supervision of a doctor. If feeding orphaned baby animals is your thing, we get to do that, too.
