Student American Veterinary Medical Association
As a club, SAVMA membership is for everyone! SAVMA membership allows students to participate in other clubs, receive benefits like AVMA-sponsored life insurance and liability insurance while in school, and gain access to national SAVMA and AVMA conventions, SAVMA scholarships, and AVMA publications. SAVMA organizes student activities including lunch and learns, the annual Rabies Run, wellness tips and snack giveaways, and monthly events around Pullman to support the local community. SAVMA also hosts the annual CVM open house, which allows us to interact with the public, show them what vet school is like, and thank them for their support.
What is SAVMA
SAVMA is the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Each veterinary school has their own SAVMA chapter, and each chapter follows national guidelines and answers to the national SAVMA board. In this way, SAVMA is unique because it is both a club and a student government organization, and SAVMA board members have the opportunity to implement policies and plan events that will benefit the whole veterinary student body.
