Hi, I’m Erick!

e.vergarabarrios@wsu.edu

I’m a DVM student from Washington and completed my undergraduate studies here at WSU. I started the DVM program on the Pullman campus as a member of the class of 2028. This is my second year as an ambassador- check out my spotlight feature!

I’d love to talk to you about any aspect of our program!

Areas of interest

  • Mixed animal medicine
  • Emergency and critical care
  • Surgery
  • Equine medicine

Club involvement

  • Veterinary Business Management Association
  • Emergency and Critical Care Club

Extracurricular activities

  • Class of 2028 President

The program and its clubs have given me the opportunity to travel and network with students from almost every accredited vet school. Experiences like these, give you the opportunity to exchange experiences and contact information which are invaluable. This profession is very small world and you will meet these people again.

Don’t feel pressured to know everything when you arrive, knowledge comes with exposure and dedication.

I have really enjoyed the clinical and professional skill course during first year. This course not only exposes you to topic you will learn about in subsequent years, it also provides you with enough knowledge to serve as a well prepared employee for summer jobs at clinics.
