I like living in Pullman because of the small-town community that it provides. Pullman may be a small town, and it seems like there are not a lot of exciting things to do in the area, but it offers quite a few opportunities if you are willing to look for them. Pullman is very safe, and everyone here is very kind and accepting and treats you almost like family. Even if you did not do your undergraduate education here, you become enrolled in the Cougar family and become a Coug for life.

The WSU faculty are some of the most approachable and down-to-earth faculty that I have ever had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with. The faculty here are solely dedicated to our learning and success, and they will go out of their way to make sure that we understand the material and can effectively show that we have learned it. The faculty here shows the perfect balance of professional relationships mixed in with personal mentorship, and we are beyond lucky to have them.

Club opportunities in the DVM program are very abundant. Whether you are looking to be an officer, member, or casual onlooker, plenty of options are offered within our clubs. Most clubs provide clinical simulations, field trips, high-quality speakers, and resources that impact your time in and out of vet school. Clubs can be precisely what you make of them in that they can be fun extracurriculars you attend outside of class or resume-building experiences that will impact your future career.
