Hi, I’m Maya!

I’m a DVM student from Alaska and completed my undergraduate studies at University of Arizona. I started the DVM program on the Pullman campus as a member of the class of 2026. This is my second year as an ambassador!

I’d love to talk to you about research, aquatic veterinary medicine, and working in our veterinary teaching hospital.

Extracurricular activities

AMAZING! There are so many clubs it can be overwhelming, but the opportunities they provide and the leadership experience you get from participating makes a huge difference in both your education and the opportunities you have after graduation.

I was an out of state student and the option to become in-state after a year allowed me to undertake the financial burden of attending a vet school.

Do not be intimidated and put yourself out there! You’ll never know what amazing opportunity you’ll end up with by going to a meeting or introducing yourself to someone new.
