We want to provide value and benefits for our DC facilitator who participate in the program. To achieve this, we designed a mechanism to provide CE credits for taking part in the DC. Give feedback for further development and completeness of the case material.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reflection page<\/strong> (topic: how will working through this case impact your clinical approach in the future)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta  wsu-cta--width-full\" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/wsu.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_56f06EK2Atgjt0G\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button \">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tRegister for the RACE CE Credit\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details &amp; Assignments:<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__53922\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Teaching &amp; Learning (5 Credits)<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__53922\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part 1: Narrowing the gap between didactic learning and real-world experiences<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CE Outcome:<\/strong> Diagnostic Challenge Facilitators will guide students in a simulated case based activity, where they will apply clinical reasoning skills throughout the process for either DC1 OR DC2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Student Learning Goal:<\/strong> The experience and knowledge the clinical facilitator brings to the program is influential in creating and sustaining a supportive clinical environment, which is fundamental in the enrichment of student learning. Thus reinforcing the importance of evidence-based practice environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Required Activity: <\/strong> Throughout the Diagnostic Challenge, each facilitator will guide and instruct their two clinic teams (5-6 students) on various aspects of their assigned case throughout the week. These will include, but are not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>These will include, but are not limited to: Diagnostic Plan, Therapeutic Plan, and Functional Medical Record (Academic SOAPs, Diagnostic Differential lists, Master Problem List, etc), Case Presentation, Pathophysiology, Approach \u2013 evidence based medicine, and Client Communication\/Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part 2: Reflection Practice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CE Outcome:<\/strong> DC Facilitators will provide both formative and summative evaluations for the students and the simulated clients. This will be done through observations, guided reflective practice, and summative evaluations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Student Learning Goal:<\/strong> Facilitators will engage the students in a debriefing and reflective exercises throughout the week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Required Activity:<\/strong> During the DC week, facilitators will engage the students in reflective practice by asking more open-ended questions, aiming to discover learner\u2019s perspectives, and probing for supportive evidence.
